This year Council of Schools is in San Antonio, Texas! So come join us September 26-27, 2008 at the Omni San Antonio Hotel and learn how you can help continue the achievements of our past members. This year's theme is "TNSA: Passing the Torch of Excellence." “Passing the Torch of Excellence” is taking what we have become as an organization and continuing its success. Informing current TNSA members about what prior members accomplished will motivate them to continue and improve on previous achievements. As an organization we need to strive for excellence. We will accomplish this by incorporating teamwork, compassion, leadership, and education. Further, we will pass on these ideals to our patients, our family, and our community. TNSA is the beginning for a lot of student nurses, who have moved on and excelled in their fields. They started here! So we need to pass this legacy on to future students who have the opportunity to be |
|
better, and become potential leaders of our profession. The tradition of excellence is something every nursing program in this state carves. Through hard work, relentless, and dedication nursing programs prepare us to enter our profession. As student nurse leaders, we must pass this torch on to individuals, so that they can motivate their schools and help students reach their full potential. At Council of Schools, we will have break-out sessions, meals and guest speakers. These sessions will include: test taking strategies, resume building, and licensing. We have two state projects this year: Shriners Hospitals for Children and Windridge Therapeutic Equestrian Center. There will also be sessions for each TNSA board position which will include tips for running in elections at convention. Council of Schools is the best time to decide to run for office because it allows time to prepare for campaigning. It is a fabulous experience to meet and collaborate with students from distant schools. So get ready to have an amazing time in San Antonio! We hope to see you there! |
